Capcom recently released Ultra Street Fighter IV on PlayStation 4 and sadly, it came with a number of issues. The game suffered from 8 frames input lag, bugs, glitches and what not.
Things were so bad, that Capcom had to pull the PS4 version from its own tournament. Due to the issues Ultra Street Fighter IV is facing, fans were concerned over its integration into Capcom Pro Tour.
Capcom did say they are working to a patch to fix the problems, but participants should know that the PS4 version will not be present at the event.
Here’s what Capcom had to say:
A lot of our more competitive players have wondered how the USF4 version of PS4 will affect them and the tour. To that we’d like to advise that the integrity of the Capcom Pro Tour is a top priority for us and we will continue to work with tournament organisers worldwide to ensure that the highest quality event will be run.
Each region will maintain its current hardware standard for the remainder of the 2015 Capcom Pro Tour until otherwise announced. We will keep you updated as to when the PS4 version of USF4 will be integrated into the Pro Tour.
The post mentioned that Sony and Capcom are working together to deal with the matter at hand. They will keep us posted to any developments related to a patch for Ultra Street Fighter IV on PlayStation 4.
The most bizarre thing is that developers were touting the “no input lag” quality of Ultra Street Fighter IV, but as it turns out, it has even more lag when compared to PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Hopefully, things are going to be sorted out soon.
