Ekko, the Boy Who Shattered Time, is the latest champion to be revealed for the ever bolstering roster of League of Legends. Having made his debut at this year’s Mid-Season Invitational, Ekko has since then been in the hands of PBE testers.
However, the time-controlling assassin from Zaun is now confirmed to hit live servers with the game’s next patch, which is supposed to be released within the next 24 hours.
According to the patch notes, Ekko “will be released a bit later during patch 5.10.” Seemingly, the new champion will not be unlocked once you’re done updating your game client. Riot Games is looking to make him available afterwards, probably later in the week.
Ekko will be accompanied by his Sandstorm Ekko skin, which is going to cost 975 RP. The patch itself will bring Order of the Lotus Irelia skin (750 RP), Knockout Lee Sin skin (1350 RP), and Nightmare Tryndamere (750 RP).
There are various item changes to the Ancient Coin, Bilgewater Cutlass, Blade of the Ruined King, Talisman of Ascension, Nomad’s Medallion, Banner of Command, and Ardent Censer. Some abilities have been swapped and tweaked in the Utility mastery tree as incentive for players to max it out. As for champions, the following have been hit in one way or another: Sejuani, Ryze, Karma, Leona, Rek’Sai, Lulu, Taric, and Zed.
