When Project CARS was first revealed it was also claimed that the game would come out on the Wii U. Slightly Mad Studios has not been able to make that happen yet and now they have clarified why.
Ian Bell, the studio head at Slightly Mad Studios was recently talking to fans regarding Project CARS over at the official forums of the game.
Some really interesting discussion broke out between a fan of the game and Bell.
When the guy asked that “the WiiU version should be getting polished up as well as new innovative features” like “gamepad integration for livery editing,” Bell responded by saying that “I can’t say too much but we’re awaiting E3 with baited breath.”
The reply from the fan (read between the lines) was “you have no idea how happy you have just made me,” but Bell quickly replied with this:
Don’t read wrongly into that… OK I’ll come clean. At the moment we’re running at about 23FPS on the Wii U. We’re awaiting/hoping for more of a hardware announcement at E3…
So yeah, that’s what Project CARS is achieving with Nintendo’s console. What do you say about that?
Also, it is probable that Nintendo is not going to introduce their new Nintendo NX at the E3 2015 event but apparently Slightly Mad Studios have no other option but to look forward to it:
Honestly, unless we really cut the looks back I think we’re looking to Nintendo’s next console.
He did add in the end that if Nintendo does not make an announcement for a new console at E3, then they will give Project CARS a go on Wii U; but would you want it at 23 FPS?
