Need for Speed is returning this year and is all set to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this fall.
Posting on the PlayStation Blog, EA’s Content and Community Manager Ben Walke said that the team has been constantly following the feedback provided by fans. All that data has been funneled through to development and has helped EA create a great installment in the iconic racing franchise.
Walke further mentioned that the game is “fueled by EA’s own car culture community, Speedhunters.” This has resulted in a diverse research and development phase that in turn has produced an “exciting world to discover and enjoy in a way that only Need for Speed can deliver.”
The Need for Speed reboot promises to deliver “deep customization, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, and an immersive narrative that pulls you through the game.”
This year’s installment is being developed by Ghost Games, the studio behind 2013’s Need for Speed Rivals. In a prepared statement, Executive Producer Marcus Nilsson said that his team is returning the game to its “greatness.”
He also promised that the feedback process will not end any time soon. Ghost Games wants the community to practically shape the 2015 Need for Speed game, and everyone is invited to drop in their opinions and suggestions.
A full reveal trailer is expected to be unveiled at E3 2015 which takes place on June 15.
