We have some exciting news to share with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. According to a new announcement by Developer Larian Studios, Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is coming to your gaming consoles. The title was originally released late year for PC and other platforms.
Additionally, the Enhanced Edition is also heading to PC, Mac and Linux. Keep in mind that the new version of this awesome RPG is a different product, so your saved data will not transfer from the previous version. Meaning you will have to start from scratch.
The good news is, anyone who already owns a copy of last year’s version of Divinity: Original Sin, is getting the Enhanced version free of charge. You won’t have to pay a single dime.
There are plenty of changes made to the new version including a new local co-op mode, controller friendly user interface, new quests and challenges among other things.
Larian Studios founder and creative director Swen Vincke stated:
It has a truckload of changes versus the original game.Literally thousands of little improvements here and there.
He further added:
The biggest point of criticism was always that the story was not the strongest, so we thought we’d fix that too. And well, if we’re re-doing the dialogue, we might as well voice it. So we started recording at the end of December, and we’re still recording new voices. We’ve been doing that non-stop. It’s been quite a gargantuan task on that front.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is coming out by the end of this year.
