Star Wars: Battlefront Dev Explains The Lack Of Space Battles In The Game
Wouldn’t a Star Wars game without any star wars feel a bit odd? Star Wars Battlefront remains on top of my to do list and it’s really hard waiting to get my hands on it. I was hoping to see some epic space battles in battlefront but sadly there won’t be any.
There goes all hopes of controlling the Millennium Falcon.
The question is, why aren’t there any space battles in the game of this scale? We needed some clarification and thanks to Patrick Bach, we have one:
We want players to stay in the same [environment] – we don’t want players to fly off and do something over *here.* It’s about the Battlefront experience, so we want to keep you in-atmosphere and fighting with the infantry.
I don’t really agree as having epic space battle moments would have add so much to the experience. Still, we know the game is going to be a blockbuster hit and an epic journey which we won’t soon forget.
EA is planning to release the game this year in November and the company expects to sell around 9-10 million copies of Star Wars: Battlefront by the end of April next year.
Star Wars Battlefront is announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We expect to know and see more of the game at E3 2015.
Will you miss space battles in Star Wars: Battlefront? Or do you agree with the approach of the development team?
