EA has promised gamers around the world that Star Wars: Battlefront will not face any kind of delays. The statement came from EA CEO Andrew Wilson in the company’s most recent financial press conference call.
Wilson stated that Star Wars: Battlefront is playable even right now, and it is fully expected to be complete and available on shelves by its designated release date of November 2015.
EA’s statement comes as a result of the various delays of games that it had under its publishing plans, such as Battlefield 4 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Wilson feels Battlefront will not suffer the same fate.
The company’s attempt at ensuring that Battlefront’s release date is met makes perfect sense – the much anticipated movie Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens is set to hit cinemas in December, so it is for the best interest of fans and the game’s popularity that it is released roughly a month before.
EA is expecting the game to sell around 9-10 million copies, and some of the art designs, screenshots, and teasers have really piqued the interest of many gamers, specifically the stunning visuals. The development is aware of the need of proper gameplay footage, which is why Producer Jesper Nielson has promised that it will come soon.
Star Wars: Battlefront will release on November 17 this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
