Rumor: We May See Koji Igarashi’s Castlevania Successor This Week
Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi left Konami a while back to work as an independent developer. We haven’t heard much about the project he is currently working on but it seems we could soon see a Castlevania successor.
He shared a two-paged PAX flyer which was believed to be hiding a cryptic message. Now, if the latest rumors are to believed, the flyer contained a message saying “What a wonderful night to have a KS.”
KS? Kickstarter? Speculations suggest that Igarashi could soon start a Kickstarter campaign to ask for support of his title.
Furthermore, the Twitter feed for “Quarterwomen” came back to life again and started posting stuff about runes and alluding to alchemy. This is particularly interesting as the PAX flyer also suggested that the main character in Igarishi’s new game will be an alchemist.
Also an image was shared on the forums of Castlevania sites rune-filled pentagram that was seen in the PAX flyer, in addition to a sword and a whip.
Sword and a whip is of course linked to Castlevania. There was also a message included saying “The first sign rises with the full moon. Soon, I will return.”
For those who don’t know, the next full moon is today. All of this indicates that we are closer to an announcement then we think. We can hear something as soon as today.
