First Look of ‘Legend’, Tom Hardy Plays Both Twins

StudioCanal’s upcoming feature ‘Legend’ based on the real life story of Kray brothers stars Tom Hardy and Tom Hardy as the titular leads. Yes you read that right, Tom Hardy will be playing both the twins Reginald “Reggie” and Ronald “Ronnie” Kray.

With the technology gone so ahead of us, showing twins in today’s world would be much more exciting than it was before. If the studios can CGI faces and make dead people alive then showing a twin would be much easier.

So what is the difference between the two twins, one wears glasses and the other doesn’t. That’s it, because giving the notorious one a gold tooth would have been kinky and so not 60s. The events take place in the 1960s London, the Kray brothers’ rise and fall.

The Kray brothers were the kings of organized crimes during that era; they owned a night club in West End. They were arrested and sentenced to prison in 1969. Oscar winning screenwriter Brian Helgeland will direct the feature. And if we look at his credentials, he seems like the right guy here. He was the man behind LA Confidential and Mystic River.

The movie is based on a book ‘The Profession of Violence’ written by John Pearson. Legend will also feature Emily Browning, David Thewlis, Chazz Palminteri, Tara Fitzgerald, Taron Egerton and Christopher Eccleston.

Legend will hit cinemas in UK on September 11, as of now.
