Black Ops 3 Specialists Are Meant to Give More Freedom to Players

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is bringing some notable changes to the franchise’s Multiplayer Mode, one of which is the ability to choose Specialists before each match.

Specialists are highly customizable soldiers, each with a unique ability and weapon to use in a multiplayer match. There will be a total of 9 Specialists in the final build of the game, but Treyarch only showed 4 of them to press.

Meet Alessandra Castillo who spent her life in the streets of Favela and her keen observation placed her in the Brazilian Special Forces:

Special Ability
Vision Pulse – This allows Outrider to send an electrical pulse which paints enemies on the mini-map for a duration

Special Weapon
Sparrow – A compound bow coupled with explosive bolts having variable range

Reaper is an Experimental War Robot who was designed to aid Special Ops soldiers in the field and is the last remaining prototype:

Special Ability
Glitch – This allows the EWR to teleport back to the location where it was 6 seconds before

Special Weapon
Scythe – This thing transforms the EWR’s hand into a mini gun which packs a punch and is highly devastating

Meet Donnie Walsh who was raised in a military family and is your regular infantry soldier – shown in the featured image:

Special Ability
Overdrive – This ability allows Donnie Walsh to increase his movement speed for a short duration of time

Special Weapon
Gravity Spikes – This weapon allows Donnie Walsh to perform a ground-pound attack with a devastating shockwave which damages all nearby enemies

A highly disciplined enforcer named Zhen Zhen who is not the one to be trifled with:

Special Ability
Combat Focus – This provides Zhen with a score multiplier which speeds up Scorestreak/Killstreak acquisition process

Special Weapon
Annihilator – A high-caliber revolver which can penetrate through multiple foes and usually takes a single shot to kill an enemy

All the Specialists are customizable and do not affect a player’ create-a-class. Furthermore, they will also be visually modifiable!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is going to launch across PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One on Nov. 6, 2015. You can also pre-order the game to participate in an upcoming limited Multiplayer Beta.
