Tropico 5 is now available on the PlayStation 4, but before you fill the shoes of El Presidente and begin ruling over the small banana republic of Tropico located in the Caribbean, you’ll need to go through this launch trailer.
Tropico 5 was launched in May last year for the PC, before landing on the Xbox 360 later in the year. The city-builder, with heavy emphasis on politics and other managerial factors, now jumps on the current-gen bandwagon for the first time.
The PlayStation 4 version is confirmed to be running at 30 frames-per-second and at 1080p native resolution. The management controls have been mapped to the controller, and Remote Play is also available with the PlayStation Vita and TV.
Tropico 5 is a beautiful game which spans the period from the colonial era through the Cold War to modern times. As mentioned above, players must keep a sharp eye out to see the shift in politics as your profess through the game. Many of your ruling decisions will be based on that, as you work towards implementing new technologies and expanding your rule.
The game is currently priced at $60.
