Mr. Holmes Gets New UK Trailer, Highlights the Plot

Entertainment One releases yet another trailer for Mr. Holmes, this one is for the audiences in UK directed by Bill Condon. You can check it out above.

Mr. Holmes stars Sir Ian McKellen, we have seen him do really cool magic tricks in The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit, seeing him as a detective seems interesting.

You never know he might surprise you by pulling out a rabbit from his hat. Laura Linney, Academy Award winner will co-star with Sir McKellen.

The movie is based on a novel by Mitch Cullin titled ‘A Slight Trick of the Mind’, Jeffrey Hatcher adapted the screenplay for it. It goes back to the aging Holmes of 1947 wandering in Japan looking for the answers to life. Mr. Holmes is looking for a plant with great recuperative qualities, he has witnessed the wrath of nuclear war.

In this trailer he explains why he is trying to write a story himself; to clear millions of misconceptions created by Watson. This story marks the beginning of his last case ever, this is the most important case ever for Sherlock Holmes.

Holmes while going through several details of the case realizes that “Human nature is a mystery”, he is looking for The Truth. In the trailer, we observe that he starts relying irrevocably on that little boy, Roger.

Mr. Holmes premieres on 17 July.
