Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead revealed some massive details about season 6 for instance the Rick-Morgan relationship and the possibility of a major character dying in the upcoming season.
The information was released at the National Association of Broadcasters Show (2015) during the panel with Kirkman, Stephen Yeun and Charlie Collier (AMC President) on Tuesday.
The show takes place in the post-apocalyptic zombie zone, where killing off popular characters in no big deal for the creator.
Kirkman talks about the kind of relationship Rick and Morgan will have in this new season. He says things are different and the outcome of the interaction between these two characters will basically serve as its spine.
Having Rick and Morgan together, finally, again is a huge deal, and it’s definitely going to be a big part of Season 6. Now it’s a very different Rick and a very different Morgan who are going to have a completely different relationship and it’s the questions of how they’re going to interact, how they’re going to work together — if they’re going to work together — and what comes from those interactions is going to be basically the spine of season six.
According to the coy discussions that Stephen Yeun and Kirkman had about Yeun’s character Glenn, he may or may not die in the season. Well, it would be a major blow to me if he does at least!
However one thing is for sure, if he dies it won’t be over in a second and he definitely won’t go down without a kick ass fight.
Kirkman said jokingly, “we don’t kill the popular characters,” and Yeun joined in by adding “if I go — that could happen,” further saying that he is lucky to be a part of such experience and that “if it were for Glenn to go, then it’s probably going to be awesome.”
He says the show’s basic aim is to make “things poignant and purposeful and meaningful,” do you agree?
The Walking Dead season 6 premieres on AMC later this year, as of now.
