If you have been itching to play Trine 3 ever since the game was announced, here is your chance to do so. The title isn’t yet ready for release, but you can give it a try and see how it plays.
Here’s how, the developers are planning to release a Steam Early Access version of the game. This will help them test the waters and see what features should be included in the game.
Trine 3 is our first move towards 3D-gameplay in the Trine series, so we wanted to get in touch with our player-base in an early enough phase to collect feedback on the new gameplay features, so we can tweak those into the right direction. Early Access can hopefully provide us with lots of players willing to do this.
Formally known as Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, the game won’t give you free access. If interested, you will have to pay £14.99 / €19.99 / $19.99. Steam Early Access build will be live on April 21.
Steam Early Access version will only feature the first two maps of the game, which will last six to seven hours in the final build.
Early Access build will feature both offline and online co-op, however, developers say that online co-op is still buggy. All issues will hopefully be sorted out before final release, which is planned during or after Summer 2015. Trine 3 is going to stay in Early Access for a few months.
You can know more about the Early Access build over at Steam.
