Star Wars: Battlefront Won’t Have Battlelog, Game’s Assistant Producer Clarifies

Star Wars: Battlefront has been a topic of hot debate since it was first announced. Since developers haven’t said much about the title, no one knows many details about the game at this point. That’s why we came across rumors and baseless speculations regarding the game.

One such rumor claimed that Battlelog will be a part of Star Wars: Battlefront. Battlelog has been affiliated with Battlefield games for a while, so obviously it was a bit strange to hear of its inclusion in Battlefront. Also, it was being speculated that Uprise is developing Battlelog for Battlefront.

Thankfully, things have now been cleared-up by the game’s assistant producer Jesper Nielsen.

He took to NeoGaf and shared the following comment with us:

The Uprise website mentions that Uprise is working on Star Wars Battlefront. While Uprise has been doing Battlelog, does that automatically mean that we will do Battlelog for Star Wars: Battlefront?

He continued:

No, it won’t. That can only be an assumption, and I can tell you, no, there won’t be Battlelog for Star Wars: Battlefront.

Hmmm… So Battlelog remains an exclusive part of Battlefield after all. Who knows, maybe they will introduce a similar management system for Battlefront, but we can’t say anything for sure unless official details are shared.

Anyways, Star Wars: Battlefront is without a release date but is expected sometime later this year. Some rumors suggest that the game will come out on November 17, but EA is yet to confirm that.

Whenever it comes out, you will be able to play it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Would you have liked to have Battlelog in Star Wars: Battlefront?
