Those of you who were worrying about the contracts of many Marvel Superheroes nearing an end can relax because we have some great news for you.
Thor revealed to Collider that he will be appearing in three more Marvel movies besides the latest Avengers: Age of Ultron (which probably a lot of us haven’t watched yet). So it makes four movies in which we will get to witness the mighty warrior.
Marvel has a history of signing actors for a little more than the usual 3 installment tenure. One reason to have ensured the recurrence of these characters is to increase audience attachment over the years in several Marvel movies and off course the good money they offer.
Marvel is 11 movies down and these contracts are all coming to an end. Recently Robert Downy Jr. upped his contract for Avengers 2 and 3 although it ended with The Avengers. Chris Evans is also signed for the new Avengers movies.
Chris Hemsworth revealed that he will be a part of at least three more Marvel movies and that his time with the franchise is not over yet. He will reappear in the new Avenger sequels and his standalone movie Thor 3.
I’m three films away from [the end of my contract]; I’ve got Avengers 3 and 4 and I’ve got Thor 3.
Thor: Ragnarok premieres in November 2017, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 in May 2018 and Part 2 in May 2019. So don’t worry you have a lot of time to enjoy the same actors playing your favorite characters over the coming years.
