First Wave of Xbox One May Update Preview is Live Now

If you are a part of the preview program, you should not be reading this but heading straight to get your download of the first wave of Xbox One May Update preview which went live recently.

Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson, the director of programming for Xbox Live, took to his official Twitter profile and revealed the news saying “Xbox One preview members will see an update tonight refining existing features. We’ll add new features in an update later this month.”

The exact version of the OS which has been released is xb_rel_1505.150408-2200 and it went live on 6:00PM PT April 13, (2AM GMT April 14). Here are the few highlights that have been shared with us so far through the official Xbox forums (the link only works if you are a part of the preview program), they are mostly fixes:


  • Audio popping with US/CA Digital TV Tuner: Fix for an issue some reported with audio popping when using the Digital TV Tuner in US/CA locales.
  • Changes to assist investigation into Voice Messaging issues reported by the community.
