News about Pixar’s most anticipated movie ‘Incredibles 2’ has been confirmed, fans who have been waiting for almost ten years for a sequel can finally take a breath.
In an interview with NPR the writer director of 2004’s Incredibles, Brad Bird, confirmed that he will be returning to the franchise for the upcoming sequel.
“I’m just starting to write it. It’s percolating.”
Bird was previously busy with other projects mostly his upcoming film featuring George Clooney named ‘Tomorrowland’. Now that the movie is releasing on 22 May this year, he would have plenty of time to work on other projects.
Plot details and involvement of other actors remain unknown for now however, it is expected to release in 2016. Samuel L. Jackson’s Frozone might make an appearance in the sequel. At the time when the sequel was announced, Jackson told Digital Spy that Frozone enters the world of the Incredibles somehow.
“Every time I run into Brad [Bird, director] he always tells me Frozone is part of what’s going on, so I have to believe that.”
Bird who has worked within the animation genre switched to live-action movies in 2011 when Mission Impossible Ghost protocol was released. He has some amazing movies on his list such as Ratatouille and the remake of The Tortoise and the Hare.
With the movie expected to release in 2016, there is no confirmation on the previous characters reprising their roles, not even Edna Mode.
