PlayStation Vita owners will finally be able to get their hands on Resident Evil: Revelations 2 when it releases sometime this summer.
According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, the developers now have “all the code available” following the recent release of the final episode of the game on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The studio is now able to complete the porting of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 on to the handheld.
The PlayStation Vita version will feature all four episodes, including all released DLC other than consumables. An update following the launch will include Online and Co-Op Raid Mode. The developer is also adding Gyroscopic Targeting to make shooting weapons “much more Vita-centric.”
A solid release date is promised to arrive in the coming weeks.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 sees to the return of Claire Redfield, the survivor of the Raccoon City incident in previous Resident Evil games. She will be accompanied by Moira Burton, daughter of Barry Burton.
Both find themselves in an abandoned detention facility and must work together to make it out safely. Which will be a challenge itself since new threats lay in wait at every turn. Weapons and ammo are scarce, and players will have to find alternative means of escaping death.
