It’s that time of the year again, when everyone forgets their current Call of Duty title and jump on the hype train for the next installment in the iconic franchise.
A teaser trailer released hours ago by Activision confirms that the next Call of Duty game is going to be titled Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
Titled ‘Black in Black,’ the short trailer comprises of narrations in the background, which for now make no sense. There’s a reference to operative Alex Mason. Most importantly though, the trailer ends by confirming a worldwide reveal of the game to take place on April 26.
You can expect the game’s debut trailer to go live that day, and also Treyarch to attend E3 2015 to give fans more reveals. We’ll probably be seeing a portion of the game’s single-player during the expo in the summers, while the following Gamescom in August will be when the developer reveals the multiplayer portion.
Call of Duty: Black Ops was set during the Cold War, while Black Ops II took players into the future where warfare was given a new meaning. There’s no telling where the third installment will be taking place.
