Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Being Produced by Warner Bros.

Well, if you have liked the point and click based indie horror survival game Five Nights at Freddy’s, this one is not only going to surprise you it will also excite you.

It looks like Warner Bros. have really seen potential in something that started off as a Steam Greenlight project; a big screen motion picture is being planned on the game!

The news was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter where it was reported that Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions alongside Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee will be producing the movie. It will be executive produced by Adam Stone and Jay Ireland.

Seth Grahame-Smith even lent a word on the project saying they they were “looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”

So yeah, Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s is also going to be on board in some capacity. he believes “the story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to.”

As of now, writers are working on the script and the story in a way that will adapt the game’s theme into a motion picture completely. This means it is probably going to take some time before we can talk about casts and release dates.
