The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt World Map is Massive, Full Map Revealed

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt full map is revealed by GameStop. It is available as a pre-order incentive and is exclusive to the retailer.

There was no doubt that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will have a massive open world for players to explore. CD Projekt RED gave us plenty of details about the open-world and we heard how big the world is, but thanks to GameStop, we can now actually see how massive it is.

The retailer is offering a free world map of the game if you pre-order The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. When you can see the sheer size of this map, you’ll realize how tiny Skyrim looks in front of this.

According to some previous details found by a reddit user, Novigrad, a city in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt measures 8.5 x 8.5 km adding up to a total size of 72.25 square km. Meanwhile, Skellige is 8 x 8 km which makes a total size of 64 square km.

By comparison, Skyrim is approx. 14.3 square km. Meaning the above mentioned two areas are already 3-4 times bigger than the entire Skyrim map.

From the looks of it, this game will consume your life and as we know it will take around 200 hours to complete.  You can see that the map also shows some off-shore islands, which players are free to explore. These Islands contain abandoned buildings, ruins and more.

In short, in The Witcher 3 you will never be short on stuff to do.

After a few delays, the game is now heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in May. You can pre-order from GameStop to get your hands on this beautiful map.
