Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has officially announced that he will release a solo Country music album by the end of this year.
Tyler has collaborated with Dot Records, Scott Borchetta and his Big Machine Label that was revived last year. Big Machine Records has a lot of talent associated with them including the Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and several others.
Tyler told Rolling Stones that he has been working with some Nashville songwriters and Dot Records is the perfect fit for launching his solo album as a Country singer. He is paying a tribute to his country through this album.
“There was an immediate connection with Scott and Big Machine, and Nashville seems like the perfect segue for a solo project. . . and Dot Records is the right fit. and this project is all about me paying homage to my country roots. I have been working with some f-king epic Nashville songwriters, getting my feet wet with the style and groove.”
Although this new album will be restricted to Country genre but the album is expected to have a dash of Aerosmith.
“Everything he sings is going to sound a little like Aerosmith, because he’s the voice. But he’s been talking about how he wants some of it to be organic,” says Cary Barlowe.
