If you were hoping to see Ghost in the Shell Online release in the west, your wishes have come true my friend.
Publisher Nexon America took to twitter and announced the arrival of Ghost in the Shell Online later this year. The tweet confirmed that Ghost in the Shell Online will release in USA, UK, Latin America and Australia at some point in 2015.

If you don’t know about Nexon, they are releasing a number of free-to-play games in the west including the recently released Dirty Bomb. The publisher is also handling the next game from Boss Key Productions, a studio created by Gear of War creator Cliff Bleszinski.
Ghost in the Shell will first debut in the above mentioned regions this year and fans will know that it’s based around the popular anime spin-off Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
The game is futuristic shooter where players control their own cyborg, customize it and unlock several abilities along the way. One of its unique features include sharing of powers and abilities between players. The game also supports PvP and co-op modes.
There is also a brief gameplay trailer for Ghost in the Shell and to me, it looks like someone mixed Call of Duty’s amazing multiplayer with the concept of Deus Ex. Check out the video and let us know what you think of the game.
