If you are a fan of trucks and simulators, you will be looking out for SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2 and everything that is happening in the game’s beta phase.
With new updates rolling in pretty soon and new DLC being planned, the developers of the game thought it was a good idea to let you in on some of the new stuff.
For instance, the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Scandinavia DLC. It has been reiterated that you will be able to play the new content on May 7. However, what exactly will you be able to enjoy was shown off in a teaser trailer which you can see above.
The asset variation across Scandinavia territory is unprecedented for our games. The man-power we have poured into creation of new models and textures is exceeding even the work invested into the original ETS2.
Instead of forests and fields, you are now looking at “mountainous regions filled with rock formations, cliffs, mountain valleys, and long twisty tunnels.”
That being said, the developers also talked about a new open beta for the game which could have come out as soon as this week but due to complexities, they have had to delay the plan a little bit.
You can expect a better graphics rendering pipeline which will definitely up the game for low end PC frame rates and probably do the same for high end PCs. In the end SCS Software confirmed that they “expect 1.17 public Steam beta will see the light of day next week.”
