The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Camera System Will Adapt According to Each Activity
CD Projekt RED took to Twitter recently to respond to some fan questions about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is for good reason being highly anticipated as one of the biggest releases of the year.
Being asked about the in-game camera adjustment options, Community manager and website coordinator Marcin Momot said that “there are different presets for exploration outdoors, indoors, horse riding, sailing, etc.”
The camera will apparently change upon each setting automatically. However, the initial question was about whether players can manually adjust the camera to zoom in or out more. From Momot’s reply, the camera is locked automatically depending on your activity and hence you won’t have the freedom to play with it.
That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, if you take into consideration how closely CD Projekt RED has been working on the game. While action RPGs can have bad camera angles, specially during combat, I doubt such a fault to escape through the developer’s quality testing.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently slated for a worldwide release on May 19 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The latest installment is said to be the final in the trilogy of Geralt’s adventures, something I really hope is not true. The world can never have enough Witcher games.
