Have you played Elite Dangerous before? If not, and if you are a Steam user, owning the game just became a lot more easier for you!
Frontier Development, the studio behind the game’s development has released it to Steam today!
Just in case you have missed out on the game’s development, here’s what Elite Dangerous is all about – in words of the official Steam description of the game:
Starting with only a small starship and a few credits, players do whatever it takes to earn the skill, knowledge, wealth and power to survive in a futuristic cutthroat galaxy and to stand among the ranks of the iconic Elite. In an age of galactic superpowers and interstellar war, every player’s story influences the unique connected gaming experience and handcrafted evolving narrative. Governments fall, battles are lost and won, and humanity’s frontier is reshaped, all by players’ actions.
Elite Dangerous was originally released for Microsoft Windows separately on December 16, 2014 and received generally positive remarks from the critics.
Alongside the Steam release, the game’s closed beta for Mac has also gone live today. However, no new players are being invited to it, only those are eligible to take part who have been a part of the game’s alpha or beta on the PC previously.
As far as the Steam version is concerned, the game is available for a full $59.99, no 10% or so off as you see on some of the games that get released on Steam which tells how confident the developers are about what they have made.
