X-Files: Cigarette-Smoking Man and Walter Skinner Returning

We have more news for X-Files fans, Cigarette-Smoking Man and Walter Skinner will return for the reboot of the show, reveals actor David Duchovny.

Duchovny told his fans on Tuesday during The Late Show With David Letterman, that both original series stars will be returning after being asked about the characters reprising their roles.

“There is Gillian and I, we are original. Mitch Pileggi will come back, and the cigarette-smoking man — if that means anything to anyone — will be coming back.”

So wait a minute I am confused, didn’t Cigarette-Smoking Man die in a rocket blast in New Mexico? We get the idea of Skinner returning as he was alive in 2002 finale but Smoking Man, how could he have survived that massive blast.

But it is X-Files we are talking about. Anything and everything is possible, Chris Carter (creator of the show) did mention it earlier that “no one ever really dies on X-Files.” There is always the possibility of fake death or escaping at the last moment.

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson play FBI officers in the renewed six-episode thriller drama.

Details about the X-Files’ premiere or other characters returning in the show are unknown for now. We will let you know as soon as we know anything new.
