The Witcher 3 DLC, Ciri, Length, NPCs and More Discussed by CDP Red
Since we have stepped really close to the release of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, it has allowed the developers to be more open about the game and its features resulting in CD Project Red answering tons of questions that the fans have had about the game in their minds.
Yesterday, Senior Game Designer Damien Monnier took to his official Twitter profile to take the full blow of the inquiry onslaught by The Witcher fans who have been eager about the game for long.
Many details were shared, which you can go here and read, but we will list down the most important ones for you down here.
First off, he was asked if free DLC meant that the game was going to get more cosmetic and smaller downloadable content. However, Monnier said that “there will be quests too so not small at all.”
He also answered a question that people have regarded as a hint when he said that Yennefer from Sword of Destiny trailer becoming a DLC was possible.
A little comparison was also done between Geralt and Ciri where Monnier said “oh man she’s bad ass. Faster, weaker but with some magic moves and abilities unique to her.” He also added that she is “still 3rd person but she’s faaaaaaast and I mean it. If you blink you’ll miss her.”
Oh and if you were wondering about the length of the game, for a completionist it is going to be a good 200+ hours long.
Next he surprised the fans when he said that the hardest technological challenge in The Withcer 3 development was related to the NPCs:
Probably the amount of unique npcs being displayed on screen, all doing there own thing. That’s a lot of thinking power.
About the weather he said that it affects the NPCs, can get worse at night but that “storms don’t scare people.”
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt releases on May 19, 2015 and if you want more information on it, there is a lot more where these came from!
