Codemasters’ F1 2015 will release for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, on June 12, Namco Bandai has revealed.

The latest installment in the Formula 1 series is built upon a new game engine that will pump out more graphic capabilities, making F1 2015 the most visually appealing one yet.

But Codemasters isn’t only focusing on visual prowess with F1 2015. The game is also said to be the best one yet for physics-based handling.

“F1 2015 marks an exciting new chapter for Codemasters and Formula One; it’s a shift in direction for the game series, on new formats and our brand new game engine, with the game set to be released earlier in the season, launching this June,” said game director Paul Jeal.

Players will now be able to ‘feel’ the difference in tire grip caused by change in temperatures, extreme usage, debris, and weather conditions. The new “Force Feedback” system adds more immersion value to every race and will make players feel like they really are on the road.

Paul Jeal also revealed that Codemasters will be offering the 2014 season as a bonus selectable season in the game.

This is the first time that an F1 installment is being released earlier than the F1 season.
