Metal Gear Online is Getting Custom Match Options

Metal Gear Online comes bundled with the awaited Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Like the name suggests, players will be able to compete against each other in online matches.

Konami has now shared some new information regarding custom PvP matches. The company took to twitter and shared the following series of tweets via the official Metal Gear Online account.

Reading these tweets the first thing that popped in my head was regarding odd number of players. Meaning what about 2v3 or 3v4 matches? Fortunately, one of the fans asked the same question and MGO replied:

Actually I’m relieved to hear this. I played a lot of GTA online and sometimes the system unfairly matches players. I mean how do expect someone to a win 3v4 team deathmatch? It’s ok if some friends deliberately want to play a game like that, but if you are playing with random people it often becomes frustrating.

So it’s good to know that same won’t be the case with MGO. Moreover, It was also revealed that there are no bots in multiplayer, so only “real players” for now.

So there you have it, expect Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in September for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. Kojima previously stated that this will be the last MGS game and as we now know, he is parting ways with Konami.

However, Metal Gear will continue without the iconic creator. Let us know what you think of MGO and Kojima’s departure in the comments.
