Monster Hunter Frontier Online 2 Development Rumors Surface
An article on the Inven board suggests that Monster Hunter Frontier Online 2 is in development for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
According to a rough translation of the article – provided by Gematsu – the game is said to be targeting a release in early 2016. That said, it’s also possible the the developers push the game further and delay it into the next quarter.
Early speculation is that Monster Hunter Frontier Online 2 is being developed in Unreal Engine 4 and is being targeted at the Japanese market only.
There’s no confirmation on whether the game will be localized for the western audience, but there’s hope that other regions might be added later.
The article also points out Capcom Korea’s recent hiring posts, which at more than one point has referred to “the next Monster Hunter game.” Thus giving credence to the rumor of Monster Hunter Frontier Online 2’s existence.
Capcom Korea is said to be currently working on two “main projects,” of which Monster Hunter Frontier Online 2 is possibly one of them.
Monster Hunter Frontier Online was released back in 2007 for the Xbox 360 and PC. It was the first spin-off in the Monster Hunter franchise to arrive on PC.
