Dying Light Developer Tools Incoming with Closed Beta

Techland will soon bring developer tools for the modding community of Dying Light on Steam through a closed beta phase.

You might remember how modding in Dying Light was an issue in the initial days of the game’s release. That has now changed and Techland is being really helpful to the modding community.

Recently, they took to the Steam page of the game with announcement that they will soon bring developer tools for the Steam users.

The plan is to introduce them to a select number of Dying Light fans through a closed beta phase, naturally, you can expect that it will transition into a more public availability of the tools.

Developer tools for Dying Light are coming and they’re almost there. We’ll be releasing them soon, but before that happens we want to invite you to a closed beta. You can be one of the first people to create content for Dying Light and influence the development of our tools!

As this is still an early version of the developer tools, be prepared to come across some difficulties. But that’s exactly why we’re reaching to you – we need your insightful feedback.

In the end they also provided the fans with an email address that they can use to contact the developers at Techland with feedback that might help them give us a better experience, it is devtools@techland.pl.

However, they have also asked the players to include their Steam login so that the feedback can be tracked to the source.

It has been less than two months since the game was released but the players have killed millions of zombies, travelled millions of miles and collected billions in in-game money. You might want to read up on the newly released stats here.
