PAX East 2015: Gearbox Wants to go Back to Brothers in Arms

By   /   Mar 9, 2015

At PAX East 2015, developer GearBox has given hope for the revival of Brothers in Arms. The popular franchise has been on ice for a while but we may see a new installment go into development in the near future.

According to GearBox chief creative Mikey Neumann, they want to go back to this franchise.

“A lot of people love Brothers in Arms and they love [series protagonist Sgt. Matt Baker]. Obviously we never really got to finish that story. We’ve always said, ‘Man, we want to go back to this.”

Neumann didn’t say anything about a new Brothers in Arms game but fans would certainly want to see more of this series. Neumann said they “have nothing to announce,” and that he “certainly can’t announce anything.”

On the other hand, Troy Baker was their to promote the new Tales from the Borderlands, but somehow started talking about Brothers in Arms.

“[Sgt. Matt Baker] was the first lead character that I had, and it’s something that–as a gamer and an actor–I’ve always wanted to go back to.”

You’re not alone Baker, I would also love to go back. What about you? Would you like to see another Brothers in Arms game? The title will absolutely look stunning with all that current-gen hardware power behind it. Let us know of your opinion in the comments below.

Oh and I almost forgot, GearBox has announced the release date for Tales from the Borderlands Episode 2. It will be available on March 17.
