PlayStation Now is Apparently Accessible in Europe, No Official Announcement Yet

According to a new report, Sony’s game streaming service PlayStation Now is already available in Europe. Although Sony hasn’t announced anything, it seems that PlayStation Now app is accessible in the region.

Currently, there are sixteen games available on PlayStation Now for free including Uncharted 3, Beyond Two Souls, Killzone 3, Infamous 2, Warhawk, Hustle Kings and more.

You can see some screenshots which clearly show PlayStation Now app and its checkout screen, which shows the final balance in EU currency. References are also made to the European PlayStation Store.

Officially, PlayStation Now is only available in North America. However, Sony plans to start the service in other regions as well. It looks like PS Now’s availability in EU is just a mistake, as Sony would have surely created a buzz before starting the beta test.

The service allows users to stream PlayStation 3 games to PlayStation 4. It’s a pretty good solution for backward compatibility with only one downside, lag. Users who have slow internet connections will have a hard time getting a decent experience out of PlayStation Now.

To those, I would recommend not to get rid of their PS3 if they own one. As for PS Now in Europe, Sony is yet to comment on the matter. Hopefully, we’ll hear new details soon.
