Star Wars: Battlefront Gameplay Received “Superb Ovation”, Says EA COO

Fans of the awaited Star Wars: Battlefront are yet to see any gameplay footage. However, EA showed it off during a private retail event for GameStop. I can’t say it didn’t hurt my feelings but anyways, those who did get to see the game in action, had nothing but praise for it.

Well, at least that’s what EA’s COO Peter Moore tells the world. After the private event, Peter Moore tweeted: “A GREAT show with my friends/partners @GameStop. Superb ovation for latest gameplay footage on @starwars Battlefront”

That’s great but when will we see the gameplay footage? EA showing off gameplay to retailers indicate that we are close to an official gameplay reveal.

Somehow I doubt we’ll see anything major until E3 in June. It seems fitting as EA shows most of their games at the event every year. We can expect to see Fifa 16, New Madden and quite possibly Star Wars: Battlefront.

The title is announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The release date is yet to be announced but we can expect the title later this year.

2015 is a huge year for Star Wars as not only a AAA game, but a new movie is also hitting cinemas. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens – starring Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Leia), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (R2-D2), is planned for December 2015 release.
