Xbox 360 Preview Program Announced, Starts Early March

By   /   Mar 3, 2015

After positive reception of its Preview Program on Xbox One, Microsoft is planning to bring the feature to Xbox 360 as well. Announced via a post on Major Nelson’s blog, Xbox 360 iteration of the Preview Program is said to kick-off early March.

Specific Xbox Live Gold members will receive invites to join the program, that’ll work in a similar manner as it did on Xbox One.

Invitees can sign-up directly from their console and should look for a massage from Microsoft. If you are among the chosen ones, do the following:

..head to Settings, then account then under account management if you’ve been selected, you’ll see Xbox 360 Preview Registration. Sign up there and enroll your console. Nothing will happen yet, but we’ll let you know when the Preview is ready to begin through a Xbox Live message.

Over at Major Nelson’s website, the post mentioned something about an upcoming release that’ll address some “common customer issues” and improving user’s ability to troubleshoot network issues on Xbox 360.

In addition, Microsoft is also looking to add a Network Connectivity Test option on the console, that’ll help determine download and upload speeds.

More changes will be introduced over the year

In related news, Xbox 360 users with a Gold membership can claim free copies of Xbox One titles offered as part of games with Gold service, directly from their system. Meaning you can reserve free Xbox One games for future use via Xbox 360 from now on.
