Well, I can’t say I was surprised when Sledgehammer delayed Havoc DLC on PC till March 3rd. The news was revealed in post on their official Facebook page, which came as a disappointment to the PC community.
According to Sledgehammer, the PC version of Havoc for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare encountered an “unexpected issue.” To make up for the disappointment, SH is offering double XP for all PC players out there. Will it enough to cool things down though? Here’s what Sledgehammer had to say in their post.
“We don’t take this decision lightly, but rest assured that our team is working with Activision to get this content to the PC community as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we’re turning on #DoubleXP for all PC players to enjoy.”
If double XP isn’t enough to make things right, SH is giving away a free rare loot to PC players. The loot in question is KVA Paramilitary Exo. The new exo-suit will be a part of the next supply drop you open.
Even after an apology, free loot and double XP, numerous fans have posted angry comments, accusing SH of being “unprofessional.” I don’t blame them for saying this at all – Havoc was available for Xbox platforms since last month.
Developers had enough time to test things out but it looks like they decided to do QA on the last minute. Even if they knew about this for weeks, announcing a delay just before release wasn’t a great move on their part.
Anyways, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC for PC will be available on March 3rd. It features some new maps and the anticipated Exo Zombies mode.
