While February Xbox One update maybe disappointing for some but they will surely be happy with what’s coming in the next one. The March update is now available for members of the preview program and will be released to public next month.
So here’s what it has to offer:
Screenshots: After more than a year, Microsoft is finally letting users capture in-game screenshots. The feature is tied to the home button of the controller and double tapping will capture a screenshot, while pressing Y will save it. Those who have a Kinect can also use voice command “Xbox Take a Screenshot.”
Upload App: Not only that you take screenshots, you can also upload. The existing upload app is being updated to allow users easy management of their videos and screenshots. Screenshots can also be used as background images.
Suggested friends: This feature will help you find friends and is similar to Facebook’s “People You May Know” section.
Sharing your name: Microsoft is introducing two new ways to share real names with people on Xbox Live. You can keep sharing your real name with friends or no one if you prefer. Gamertags will remain the primary way to identify users, “but sharing your real name helps people recognize you who might not know you by your gamertag.”
Apart from these notable features, the update is adding an option to vary tile transparency for background images, Privacy & online safety settings, Spam Reporting, OneGuide for Australia and more.
It is to be noted that not all of these features will make it out of the preview program and into the final update for March.
