A new rumor dictates that Mortal Kombat X is going to receive Predator as a playable character.
According to sources close to VideoGamer, the new DLC pack will release in June and will also feature Colonel Al Dillon, the CIA agent who gets killed while trying to escape the extraterrestrial hunter.
The same rumor also states that Carl Weathers, the actor who played Dillon, has also given NetherRealm Studios the rights to use his likeness in the game.
This isn’t the first time that a Mortal Kombat game has introduced guest characters. The last installment featured Kratos, the ash-covered warrior from God of War, and Nightmare on Elm’s Street’s Freddie Krueger.
While I can pretty much imagine how the game will treat Predator, the notion of adding Dillon seems to stretch it bit too far. There’s though the possibility that the studio introduces him like the series’ Kurtis Stryker.
Warner Bros. has declined to comment on the rumor. The source however, is pretty sure of the DLC’s authenticity.
Mortal Kombat X launches on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on April 14. Pre-ordering the game now confirms you day-one access to Goro as a playable character, who will probably be offered later on as paid-DLC content.
