This week’s edition of the Japanese magazine Famitsu shared some new details on the upcoming role-playing game, Persona 5.
As noted by Gematsu, the primary protagonist is a second-year student who migrates to urban Japan amidst densely populated areas such as Shibuya. He lives with friends of his parents at a Coffee House they run.
The protagonist has some sort of mental problem which may stir serious trouble in future. This may be why we saw him at a mental asylum in the trailer that was released last Thursday.
The most important detail, however, is that the protagonist’s first persona is called Arsene. Additionally, the sound that characters make while summoning their personas has also undergone some minor changes.
Coming back to the recently released trailer; while it didn’t show a Social Link in the game’s Main Menu, such a mechanic is indeed being worked on.
Lastly, the dungeon shown in the trailer was not randomly generated, but the game will indeed contain randomly generated content.
In related Persona 5 news, Katsura Hashino, Director and Producer on the game called the game’s theme to be really emotional. You can check here for more information!
Being developed and published by Atlus, Persona 5 is slated launch later this year exclusively for Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
