That’s kind of John Wick’s philosophy as well, as the retired hitman took on one last assignment to avenge the spoiled brat who killed his dog.
Actually, that won’t be Wick’s final assignment. Following the surprising success of the movie, directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch have actually started work on a sequel for John Wick.
The directors gave the news out when being interviewed by Movies.com, and want to give the viewers a little extra after such a positive response.
“We’re in development right now,” Stahelski told Movies.com.
It’s apparent that the unique action sequences and advanced fire-fights gave the movie a violent and highly satisfying personality, but there’s no denying that Keanu Reeves’ acting really helped deliver the pain, misery, and sheer determination of Mr. Wick.
“If we could work with Keanu Reeves for 10 movies you’d have a really cool career.”
Though John Wick was primarily an action movie, and will continue its trend, the directors were quick to point out that they won’t be producing a sequel just for more violence and mayhem. Instead, they want to make sure that story standards held by the audience are met.
“We want to make sure we have a story and a character that everybody loves and then we’ll dress it with action that we promise will be awesome.”
