Peter Dinklage, best renowned for his performance is Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s Game of Thrones, will be joining Melissa McCarthy in the Universal comedy ‘Michelle Darnell’.
Michelle Darnell is being directed by Ben Falcone, and is based on an original character created by McCarthy. McCarthy also is also one of the writers alongside Falcone and Steve Mallory.
Though it is not quite apparent what role Dinklage would take, it is assumed that he will probably play as the antagonist. Several other actors such as Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, and even Opra Winfrey were considered for the role, but it seems Dinklage was the preferred choice for his dynamic acting skills.
Although Dinklage is best known for his Emmy award-winning performance in Game of Thrones, he has also featured in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ which was released last summer. He is also working with Adam Sandlers in ‘Pixels’, which premiers this July.
The comedy film Michelle Darnell will be released in on April 2016.
