White Night is an old school survival horror title for the PlayStation 4 and is from OSome Studio, developers of the fifth installment of Alone in the Dark.
The game’s distinct monochrome style is its highlight, where it features a black-and-white film noir setting that according to the developer will “grab you immediately.”
White Night takes place in the 1930s in a deserted Boston mansion, and features “mature storytelling, strong characters, compelling environments, and equal respect for tension and terror.”
“White Night is a good old ghost story full of mystery, poetry, alchemy, and suspense,” promised Co-Founder and Creative Director Ronan Coiffec on the PlayStation Blog.
He further stated that the studio wanted to create something that was a breath of fresh air in the genre and yet still something that people would enjoy from the moment they started playing.
An interesting fact that the studio shared, such was the scope of development that OSome actually rented out a real-life mansion in Normandy to design the game’s setting.
The game is scheduled for release on March 3 in North America and a day later in Europe for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will be priced at £11.99/€14.99.
From the released trailer above, does the monochrome style catch your attention or will you be letting this one go back into the pond?
