As we are getting closer and closer to the launch of Mortal Kombat X, developer Netherrealm is bombarding us with plenty of exciting news about the game.
The developer revealed a new addition to the roster, Ermac. He is no stranger to the Mortal Kombat roster and is hand crafted by ED Boon himself. Ermac uses psychokinetic abilities to his advantage and is an enforcer for Shao Kahn. His existence is a fusion of multiple souls destroyed in Outworld.
In addition to the announcement of his inclusion, Netherrealm shared a gameplay trailer to give an idea of what moves he’s bringing to the table in Mortal Kombat X.
He is seen making full use to his psychokinetic powers against sub-zero, who seems to be no match to him. In no time, Ermac shattered his skull and ended the match.
You can see Ermac using his fatality move to take down Sub-Zero in the end. However, according to Netherrealm, there will be more than one fatality move available to each character of Mortal Kombat X. The developer didn’t specify how many though.
If you didn’t notice, the battle between Ermac and Sub-Zero took place in a city which seems to be hit with some sort of an apocalypse. That’s a new battleground for fighters which wasn’t revealed before. Netherrealm has named it the “destroyed city” and as you can see, it lives up to its name.
Mortal Kombat X is heading to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC starting April 14.
