A new trailer released for Battlefield: Hardline includes gameplay and behind-the-scenes footage to how Visceral Games took on the development process.
While their previous work is pretty different to the likes of Battlefield: Hardline, the developers are still not strangers to the franchise.
Expressing their love for past Battlefield titles, Visceral noted that it has worked in the past on expansion packs such as the Endgame DLC for Battlefield 3. Working closely with DICE, Visceral knew exactly how it was going to turn things around, while still retaining the core Battlefield experience.
The video also shows community meetings with veteran players to gain invaluable feedback and how the studio worked on those suggestions in improving the game.
Battlefield: Hardline was supposed to launch late last year but was delayed to 2015 in sight of feedback from its earlier beta events. Visceral Games wanted a perfect game at launch and not to waste the community’s time with post-release updates to take into account balancing issues and other problems.
I believe that’s what every developer should be looking out for and not focusing on releasing a half-baked product that will be fixed after its release.
Battlefield: Hardline will release on March 17 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
