World of Warcraft Getting a S.E.L.F.I.E Camera Thanks to Patch 6.1
Just a few days ago, we reported on World of Warcraft patch 6.1 on Public Test Realms. What we didn’t know is that apart from all the changes and improvements made with the patch 6.1, Blizzard has also introduced a S.E.L.F.I.E camera.
Taking selfies in video games is the ongoing trend and Blizzard is joining in. This selfie camera will allow users to take images of their characters but to get your hands on this device, you’ll have to complete a new garrison mission.
The mission is called “Field Photography” and is available at level 100. Successfully finishing it will reward you with a camera. It won’t be hard to complete and you don’t need any special skills, but reports suggest that it takes four hours.
Camera UI is really easy and simple to use, you just have to click a button and your character will hold the camera up to take a selfie.
Your character will also smile and make a range of other faces to make the picture special. However, it’s unclear if these will be random or players will have some control over it.
The fun doesn’t end there as you can also upgrade your camera lens. To do that, you’ll need to complete another rare mission called “Lens Some Hands.”
At the end of the mission you will be rewarded with an upgrade kit, that’ll turn your camera into S.E.L.F.I.E Camera MKII.
MKII will be added to the Toy Box and any of your characters can use it. With the lens upgrade, three filters will also be added – a Sketch Filter, a Black and White Filter, and a Death Filter.
All images will be stored in a screenshot folder and if we look at the patch notes, it also brings twitter integration. This means that screenshots uploading feature will probably make it to the final build. For now, it’s not available on the PTR.
