Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will not include Online Raid Mode at launch, Capcom has announced. The feature will be added after the final episode has been released.
In contrast, the Raid Mode will still be available day-one to be played offline, solo or with a friend using the game’s split-screen feature. The release of the first episode will accompany a total of 54 raid missions that will be with three difficulty options.
With Episode 2 and 3, Capcom will be bringing 36 raid missions, while Episode 4 will feature 68 raid missions.
As mentioned above, the ability to raid online will only be available once the final episode is released and that currently will happen in March. Capcom has not mentioned as to why they will be holding on to the feature but it could be related to server loads and online services.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 sees to the return of Claire Redfield, the survivor of the Raccoon City incident in previous Resident Evil games. She will be accompanied by Moira Burton, daughter of Barry Burton.
Both find themselves in an abandoned detention facility and must work together to make it out safely. Which will be a challenge itself since new threats lay in wait at every turn. Weapons and ammo are scarce, and players will have to find alternative means of escaping death.
