Polish developer TechLand (the makers of the original Dead Island) has released the launch trailer of its upcoming open-world zombie game, Dying Light.
The said trailer is nothing short of the game’s key features which include parkour-styled movements and day-night cycle. The game frees players to traverse through the open-world while scavenging for supplies during the day and make use of them to fend off attacking mutants during the night.
It puts players in the shoes of an undercover officer named Kyle Crane, tasked to retrieve a fellow agent from a quarantine zone where things get wayward, giving rise to the game’s storyline.
The game is slated to launch tomorrow, Jan. 27, 2015, across PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One as a digital release. The physical version of the game has experienced an unexpected delay and is presumed to launch sometime in February 2015.
Dying Light was originally planned to launch on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 as well, but TechLand decided to scrap those version due to limitations of last-gen hardware.
In related Dying light news, TechLand has announced that ‘Be the Zombie’ which was scheduled to be included as a pre-order bonus is now free to everyone.
