Halo: The Master Chief Collection was easily one of the highly anticipated games of 2014, but its launch was marred by some serious issues that plagued the online experience altogether.
Although, 343 Industries has released a few updates to improve the overall gaming experience but it is still not up to the level that players would have wanted.
Knowing that, developers started to work on an enormous update, which will become part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection in the near future.
However, instead of going in blind with this new update, the developers are taking precautions and they have decided to test the patch before it is made available to the public. Doing this will allow 343 Industries to identify and remove the bugs beforehand.
The offer of testing is only for the players who have opted-in for Xbox One beta testing as part of the Xbox One preview program.
This is an opt-in opportunity and the content update will only be made available to selected participants within the Xbox One Preview program, based on the highest levels of engagement with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. On Friday, January 23, participants selected will be prompted to download the content update automatically when the title is started.
If you are willing to take part in this preview program, then simply visit the Xbox Preview Dashboard app which can be found on your Xbox One.
The way developers are discussing this update, it looks like a big deal, but we will find out for sure once it has been released for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
